HE HAS ALWAYS LIVED AND ALWAYS CREATED. BUT HOW THEN CAN GOD’s OWN WORD TELL US FOLLOWING: «IN THE BEGINNING God created the heaven and the earth.» Gen.1:1.
We have to realize that Satan made a terrible beginning in the universe, when he started an uproar against God, which resulted in a war in heaven.
This is described several places in God’s Word, most explicit in Ezek.28:13-19. God uses here the evil king of Tyre as a symbol of Satan: «You were in Eden, the garden of God … You were blameless … until your iniquity came to light … I FLUNG FLUNG YOU TO THE EARTH.»
In Isai.14:12-15, the king of Babylon is his symbol: «How you have fallen from heaven, bright morning star (Lucifer), FELLED TO THE EARTH.»
«A war broke out in heaven. Michael (the name means: «who is like God») and his angels waged war upon the dragon (Satan). The dragon and his angels fought, but they had not the strength to win, and no foothold was left for them in heaven … the serpent of old that led the whole world astray, whose name is Satan, or the Devil – was thrown DOWN TO THE EARTH, and his angels with him.» Revelation 12:7-9.
This was THE BEGINNING which God points to in Gen.1:1. At first HE created our planet as a place to keep Satan and his angels, after the war. He thereafter created the human beings on the earth, as members of his own fight against Satan and the angels who had supported him.
God will, through this fight show all creatures in the universe, what is best – to live according to God’s laws, or in opposition to them, like Satan.
The Israelites are God’s soldiers. And therefore they have to keep God’s laws as a teaching to the whole universe. «We are a spectacle to the whole universe – angels as well as men.» 1.Cor.4:9-10.
God has always lived, and always created. The first kind of a BEGINNING took place when one of his angels started a war against him. And it surely is because of Satan’s uproar, that God created the earth and the human beings.
When that war is ended, and all the evil forces are gone, both angels and men – GOD WILL LIVE WITH HIS ANGELS AND THE HUMAN BEINGS WHO CHOSE TO LIVE ACCORDING TO GOD’s LAWS – ON THE NEW EARTH, FOR EVER.
